Profile

James joined the wider Forum group in 2025 to head up and expand the wine offering, Specifically Forum Fine Wine and Bid For Wine.
James brings with him a wealth of experience across all aspects of the wine trade, more recently running his own Fine Wine Merchant, JP Fine Wines, and previous to that eleven years as co-founder and buying/trading director at Latimer Vintners. James started his career with Corney & Barrow at their London store driving the delivery van and working on the shop floor, before eventually managing that operation. This led to stints at Bibendum Wine in the trading department and then six years at Justerini & Brooks managing client valuations and establishing their Asia trade department.
Wine has afforded James the privilege of buying trips to most of the worlds wine regions, as well as time with clients in Hong Kong, China, Singapore and New York. James is passionate about all wine but particularily Burgundy where he spends time both professionally and privately. Most of all James believes in the real value of client and supplier relationships, whether that be securing sought after allocations direct from source, handling and advising on the sale of valuable collections or simply offering advice on what best to drink.
